Peanut Butter Fudge
A smooth, creamy fudge that will melt in your mouth. Just the right amount of peanut butter to soothe your cravings.
Prep Time: 1 1/2 hours
Peanut Butter Fudge Ingredients:
3 cups granulated sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cube butter
1-1/4 c. heavy cream
1/4 c. light corn syrup
1/16 t. baking soda
2 tsp. Mexican Vanilla
1/2 to 3/4 c. peanut butter
Peanut Butter Fudge Instructions:
Place liquids in the pan first, then add all the remaining ingredients except the vanilla and the peanut butter. Stir together and turn on the heat. (medium) Cook it, using a candy thermometer, until it reaches soft ball stage (228 degrees), do not stir! Remove it from the heat and pour out into a glass 9 x 13 Pyrex dish. Let cool until the bottom of the dish is comfortably warm. Start stirring the fudge with a spatula; add the vanilla and peanut butter. The peanut butter will hasten the crystallization process of the sugars. Keep stirring until the fudge is set up.
Transfer onto wax paper and let it cool. Add chopped peanuts or pecans and knead into the cooled fudge. The fudge can be cut into slices, or used as a filling for dipping into chocolate.
